3PM: Tall Tall Redwoods

Tall Tall Redwoods is an Indie-Folk band formed in 2024 by vocalist Benny La Mar and guitarist Garrett Reaves in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. The two musicians first crossed paths while playing cover gigs on Nashville's famous Lower Broadway, quickly bonding over their shared love of indie music and a "do-it-yourself" ethos. Their connection led to the creation of a band with a distinctive sound rooted in both tradition and innovation.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Bon Iver, Jason Isbell, and The 400 Unit, Tall Tall Redwoods blends intricate acoustic guitar work with deeply personal, introspective lyrics. Benny’s strong tenor voice and Garrett’s technical guitar skills create a dynamic synergy that resonates with listeners on a profound level. The duo’s powerful harmonies, paired with heartfelt lyrics and strong pop sensibilities, make their music both emotionally charged and accessible.

From their humble beginnings in Nashville’s bustling live music scene, Tall Tall Redwoods has already begun to make waves, captivating audiences with their authentic sound and undeniable chemistry. He is a singer/songwriter whose influences are those such as John Prine, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Micky Newbury and a few others. He loves to connect with an intimate audience and he definitely does through his smooth guitar and vocals. The songs speak for themselves!
